We strive to evolve to a global moneyless society and equitable resource-based economy.
Wealth: equitable distribution of assets, resources, etc.
A monetary system is a system by which a government creates and provides money in a country's economy through a set of policies, frameworks and institutions. Such institutions include the mint, central bank, treasury and other financial institutions.
Capitalism is an economic and political system in which a country's trade, means of production and industry are owned and controlled by private individuals/organizations in accordance with their interests. The central feature of capitalism is the motive to make a profit. Controlling private owners endeavor to accumulate capital and labor is paid in wages.
Capitalists are driven to create the most profit at the least cost, which includes trying to keep labor costs as low as possible in order to maximize their profits and keep their prices low to remain competitive. The majority of people in a capitalist society must exchange their labor for wages in order to pay for basic life essentials needed to survive. The poor remain unable to save their money to make investments because they spend all their money on capitalist living costs, which in turn makes the already rich even more rich. Additionally, with our private property rights, wealth is passed down across generations, reinforcing the powers of the privileged.
Capitalism and our current monetary system is inherently exploitative, destructive, unstable and unsustainable and causes wealth disparities, social inequities, market failures, corruption, mismanagement of natural resources, monopolies, short-termism, planned obsolescence, excess materialism, consumerism, boom and bust cycles and commodifies people. Capitalism incentivizes imperialist expansion and war, damages the environment, and leads to erosion of human rights.
A Resource-Based Economy (RBE) is a system in which goods and services are available without the use of money, credits, barter or any other system of debt or servitude. All resources become the common heritage of all inhabitants, not just a select few. In an RBE, technology is used to increase productivity and efficiency so that goods and services can be produced with less effort. Technology would also be used to manage and distribute resources more equitably. A global RBE would require that we shift our mindsets and efficiently manage our planet's resources as a single system while embracing sustainable ecology and scientific administration of our society.
